Keyboard & mouse gaming on your sofa.
A mouse-centric lapboard for PC gaming on the big screen. Priced like a controller, not a desk.
Concept: keyboard dock, wrist rest, mouse surface, and cushioned base. Not the final design. Prototype to be depicted by EOY 2026.
Today, the living room is the new computer room.
Steam Machines and living-room PCs bring the desktop gaming experience straight to your TV — but controllers can't play every game. We're making the keyboard and mouse as comfortable and effortless to use on a couch or in an armchair as an Xbox, PlayStation, or Steam controller.
Fits your favorite keyboard
Designed to accommodate all keyboard types — from compact to full-size, wired or wireless — so you can keep playing on the board you already love. Mechanical keyboard enthusiasts are invited to join our trial run by emailing [email protected].
Room for your mouse
A smooth mouse surface sized for real gameplay, with no cramped spaces or bumping up against surface edges mid-flick. Playing FPS and RTS games on the TV without a controller has never been easier.
Steady on your lap
Ergonomically designed to eliminate mouse slippage and stay level — whether you’re in a chair or on the sofa. Lightweight for easy carrying, yet compact enough to store out of sight.
Simple by design
Built without unnecessary electronics, dramatically lowering costs and eliminating dependencies that shorten product lifespan. If we ever go out of business, you don't.
We kept what players loved.
Four lapboards people still remember. Here’s what worked and what held each one back.
Roccat Sova

- ✕Held back:Built-in keyboard: unswappable, no parts available post-Turtle Beach acquisition
Corsair K63 Lapboard
- ✓Worked:Memory-foam base and wrist rest
- ✓Worked:Full-size, replaceable mouse pad
- ✓Worked:Wireless
- ✕Held back:Fit K63 keyboard only, both platforms discontinued
Razer Turret
- ✓Worked:Slim, wireless, easily storable
- ✓Worked:Magnetic surface kept the mouse put
- ✕Held back:Cramped mouse area
- ✕Held back:Right-hand only
Corsair Lapdog
- ✓Worked:Full-size keyboard on your lap with adequate mouse room
- ✕Held back:More dock than lapboard (3ft wide, 5lbs, with USB hub and charging ports)
- ✕Held back:Needed a wall power brick
- ✕Held back:Fit only Corsair’s K65 and K70 keyboards
The gap nobody filled.
All four are now discontinued and unsupported. Your current options are $30 laptop trays unsuited for gaming, or an ultra-wide slab with USB hubs and RGB LEDs baked in that retails at $200.
We’re providing a better option: a layout players love, that supports the keyboard you already own, at a price that fits a computer peripheral not a piece of furniture.

Every other option misses at least two of the five boxes. KBM Lapboards is built to check all of them.
KBM Lapboards entries are design goals; the prototype is in progress and the price is a target, not final. Competitor details come from manufacturer announcements, published reviews, and owner experience. Prices are launch or list prices. All product names belong to their owners, and KBM Lapboards is not affiliated with them.
No electronics you didn’t ask for. Just a comfortable place for your keyboard and mouse.
We cut the vendor lock-in, the bloated features, and the extra cables. That’s how we bring the price down and keep couch gaming simple.
Lap play has a pedigree.
KBM gaming on the lap has a storied history in the StarCraft and Quake esports communities. We’re building a lapboard designed for both pro and casual gamers to use regularly.
